Here is Part 2 from Pastor Gary:
It is all too often that in our fast paced and demanding society one can feel overwhelmed. David in Psalm 61 prayed that he would be led to the rock. He was crying out to God to give him guidance that would bring him into the presence of God (the Rock). As is pointed out in With A Word Bible Commentary, wherever one finds himself geographically, or whatever circumstance, the presence of the Lord can be found. Quiet your heart, take command of your thoughts, and cry out to God. Whether audibly or just quietly in your thoughts, cry out to the Rock that is higher than yourself.
There is humility and comfort in recognizing that God, the Rock, is “higher.” [This means I'm not God and it is okay to ask for help-D] When it is too big or too high for us, it is not too big or too high for God. David had developed a history with God. God had helped him in in times past. One might think, “I am a new Christian, and I don’t have that kind of history.” Take comfort in the fact that there are numerous examples of God’s protection and deliverance for His children in the Scriptures. God is faithful and as His child, one can expect Godly favor. Take courage; God loves you! Instead of, “He has been,” by faith declare, “He will be, for me, a shelter.”
The Dictionary of Biblical Imagery says, “The tabernacle represented God’s holy presence on earth.” Abiding is a strong word representing a willful choice to enter the tabernacle, or “presence” of God. Like David, we too must willfully abide in the presence of God. Our situation may feel like it is light years away from anything that is Godly. In the situation, however, we can choose to respond in a Godly fashion. David trusted in the shelter of God’s wings. “Wings” is an anthropomorphism describing the kind of care a mother hen would give her chicks. We can trust that God cares for us and desires to shelter us from harm. God can be trusted! When you feel overwhelmed, you can call out to the Rock that is higher, abide in His presence, and trust that He will be there for you.
He truly can be trusted. I am so glad He is God and I am not. I am glad to be able to rest in Him as I follow His ways. Because I surely cannot do this on my own strength. It is too tiring.

I agree that it is too tiring. It is tiring enough to be a human. It is tiring to reset goals and objectives in a " not about me" way. It's about God.
