Moderating Comments

Hey folks,
If you have recently tried to post, and had difficulties logging in; it is because I am now moderating comments for a while. Someone has recently posted anonymous comments trying to discredit the points I was making concerning righteous judgements by trying to say I had a past that was less than desirable. They left no name and hoped that I would guess who they were. I hardly remember the names of people I met last month, let alone those I may have done drugs with 10+ years ago. My memory is not that good.

This was the reason for the latest post. I do not mind people challenging my view; that is part of what happens when a blog is public. Criticism or arguments need to be addressed publically.

Folks, I am free to believe whatever I feel like. It doesn't mean I'm right. It doesn't mean I'm a Christian. If I was just anybody, I could teach whatever I felt like. It doesn't mean I'm right. And I am not at liberty to call it Christian or Biblical.

If I am teaching something from the Bible, I must, to the best of my ability, represent what the Bible teaches, and any response would also need to be from the Bible or at least shown to be nonsensical. If you don't like it, fine.

The teaching on judgement can seem troublesome and I think being judgemental is wrong, when done wrongly. I am judgemental myself often in this way; however, on the blog my aim is to be fair and represent views that I think are Biblical. And I think I have done that. Is it a major doctrinal issue, of course not; but I think the evidence is stacked in the favor of 2 types of judgement, and one is Biblical and "commanded" for us to do it righteously. In the next few days, I will post the final article of the Believer's Call to Judge-Naming Names

So, even if you disagree, (and I hope there are some who do and will post) please put your name and be respectful. If you post anonymously, chances are good I will not post your comments.

Thanks for your understanding,
Derrick
