Mormon in Politics

Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney to Give Speech Explaining His Mormon Faith.

He shouldn't need to. His Mormon theology has nothing to do whether he can lead our country. There should be no religious test regarding any candidates, religious or otherwise. The focus needs to be on the values of the candidates.

For example, I would rather vote for an atheist who says he values human life and would not allow the killing of the unborn or the experimentation on embryos for scientific reasons, than a person like Clinton, who says her "religious faith" is the reason she wants to fight AIDS [but has no problem killing millions of unborn babies by fighting for a woman's right to do so]. Makes me think about this: just because you say you are religious/Christian/spiritual means little if it does not affect your values-but that is another discussion. :-)

Melinda from Stand To reason made a good point in the Christian's need to defend Romney. Next time, when there is no Mormon running for the office, who but the Christian is going to be the next target?
