I'm not sure I buy that. Maybe it is because they are incresingly engaging in highly dangerous and unhealthy behavior. As sad as it is, these folks are getting a very hard lesson in consequences for their behavior.
How about bank robbers being shot is increasing because of laws that prohibit bank robbery? Or more people are in jail because of these mean laws that criminalize any particular behavior?
