Prosperity "Gospel"- Does God Want You To Be Wealthy?

The short answer: Probably not. The following 2:46 minute long video is John Piper's response to the Prosperity "Gospel". Needless to say, his thoughts are not too positive about it and his passion does not seem unwarranted. I think too many times, this is paired with "God told me... that your faith is tied to how much you give my ministry." And if you are a long-time reader of the blog, you'll know that I am not a fan of folks vainly claiming God spoke to them.



The second video is about 9 minutes and it seems to be a look into the Prosperity "Gospel" in Africa. If you have time, check it out. It is an interesting piece from a guy over at Christianity Today.
