Obama SOTU Bingo Card

Mark off any words that Obama uses in his State of the Union speech tomorrow night. I thought this was pretty funny. Though I am surprised that something about "George W." or the "Previous Administration" is not on there. :-)

All I want to hear him say in the address is "I'm bringing blue-collar factory jobs back to America." If he says that and then delivers, I'll be happy; and might even vote for him in 2012.

Or something like, "I'm going to get the Gov't out of the way, so the free market and private businesses (small and large) can hire folks for these jobs."..And pigs might fly...

Of course, he did claim for a while to "save or create" jobs in places that didn't even exist, so who knows? Just don't look up when you hear the oiking. :-)

And it would take a whole bunch more than that for me to vote for him...A whole lot.

Less government is a good thing. Still, I'm not sure that less government interference would produce number and types of jobs in America that you would want to see; business companies and corporations still have to have the will to bring jobs back to America even if it proves less profitable for them. Of course, if one were to roll back some of the power of labor unions in this country that might help.

---True, but I think there will have to be some sort of extended period before these businesses and investors become confident enough to move forward without the fear that their success will be severely taxed worse than if they stayed where they are.

Many businesses are afraid, also, that this Obamacare is going to increase their costs--the more workers they hire, the more they will be forced to insure (or be taxed for not providing). Didn't insurance used to be called a fringe benefit, not a right?

BTW, I am all for working for a company that provides those benefits, but I am not entitled to it.

Of course, if one were to roll back some of the power of labor unions in this country that might help.

---Laura Ingraham made a good point the other day- she said something regarding the Left's logic. Something like this: the Unions somehow represent the "people", so we should protect them and the people they represent (This was regarding the Supreme Court's recent reversal of donations to candidates), whereas the corporations and businesses somehow don't represent "people" so they should be silenced.

I was just thinking about how interesting that Obama supporters are somehow NOT Special Interests. How is the Union not just one big Special Interest? Maybe because of all the money donated to the Dem. Party? :-)
